Public speaking is one of things most people hate, right up there with rootcanal treatment and filing taxes. As it happens I love it – but I always had a masochistic streak.

Next time you have to do it, remember that feeling of last night. It went fine, no doubt you were funny and everyone smiled. Hold on to that thought and be brilliant again.
