Picture Caption Competition

We have just got back from the weekend at Atlantis; the new Dubai hotel on the Palm. I am writing a piece for the Mail on it so won’t go into too much detail here but thought these snaps of us at Dolphin Bay would be a good opportunity to test your picture caption skills. It can be either the dolphin or the person talking. First prize to be announced shortly…

  1. Caption for pic number four:

Rupert: “If you’re a dolphin I’ll eat my hat.”
Dolphin: “I hope it tastes better than it looks.”

  2. Helena. I hope you know that a dolphin’s playfulness is a display of sexual excitement.

Leo: Dolphin “Let go of my lip you little sod”

Helena: “I won’t have a haddock tonight Rupert, promise!”

Olivia: “I’m only trying to turn him over to see if the blow hole goes right through”

Rupert: “Sorry, I thought you were a loan shark”.

Bea: “What’s the porpoise of this competition?”

  3. Photo Two:

    Helena to Fish-

“Kiss me quick, you fool. My husband is coming.”

    Photo Four:

    Fish to Rupert-

“Take off that ridiculous hat and smile for the camara.”

PS. The kids pictures are adorable!

  4. Patricia is the clear winner so far….there’s a lady with good taste. She wins the right to write a guest blog on a topic of her choice.
They are all great captions, thank you!

  5. I’m late with this but I just wanted to comment that the pictures are adorable. I’ve swum with dolphins near Monkey Mia in Western Australia. They are very special! I will second Patricia!

  6. 1 : You can stop blowing now, Sam: the dolphin’s about the right size

    2 :

    Do you like dolphin?

    I don’t know – I’ve never dolphed.

3 : Why can’t you just bring sandwiches to school like everybody else?

4 : What do you mean, I’m safe because dolphins are vegetarian? He thinks I’m a banana.

5 : I’m not impressed, Mum, even if he was a lot more expensive than a pony
