And I agree so much that it is the people; it's their spirit, it's their soul and, of course, their kindness. I never quite know how to react when people who have nothing offer you so much. Helena, do try please through your writing to promote India more, to encourage Westerners - especially, ironically, those in the Gulf who have often formed such a low opinion of the subcontinent in general - to hop on a plane and visit the most remarkable place on earth, which is literally next door to us here. India IS great, and Cal is, without doubt, the greatest city in that extraordinary country, and that’s saying something as it has a LOT of competition.
