Helena, I could feel your panic there!
I've been in that situation several times with my three, though never for 15 minutes.
One thing I did when they were little was make up a rhyme/song with my mobile number, and each of them still remembers that number, even though that phone is long gone- as in about 10years gone!
I'm glad it all ended happily for you.

Thank Heaven he is safe, you must have been distraught. I have been in the security business for many years, and would advocate that all parents both home and abroad consider military type "dog tags", with whatever information you consider appropriate on them. They can be easily and cheaply produced, much like the tags found on pet collars. Worn around the neck, wrist or even sewn onto regular clothing or bags. Good Luck

Yes, it is awful when that situation happens. I have experienced that in shops when looking at something for a minute and one of my children has wandered off. Awful thoughts rush through your head as you remember cases highlighted by the media of children being abducted. When you do find them, you don't know whether to hug them or tell them off for wandering away from you. The thing is that they don't understand what all the fuss is about, as they are so innocent and are not aware that not everyone is a nice person.
