Holiday time

7th August 2010 by Helena 6 Comments

Tonight we head off to Europe. All being well this time tomorrow we will be in the Swiss Alps at the Tschuggen Hotel where we spend four nights (working hard on a travel piece) followed by Paris, London, Abersoch (it’s in Wales), then home to Sainte Cecile for a week and finally the Savoie to our friends Norrie and Mary. My mother will bring the girls to Sainte Cecile for a reunion.

I will be relaxing, sleeping, eating and drinking. But also trying to do some work on the book for which we have a cover…..what do you think? Leo and Bea are both concerned with her headless state. Nothing wrong with headless I say, that’s how I spend most of my days…..

Hi Helena, I’m with Bea and Leo on the headless question! I think it makes it looks like the cover has been misprinted… Oh, and could her outfit be a little more becoming? It looks a bit frumpy. On the plus side, nice retro feel with typeface and colours. I’ll be buying the book anyway, as no doubt will your many other fans! Bonnes vacances, Catherine

Hi Helena! What is your new book about? And where is it set? Somewhere warm no doubt. Have a great time in Eourope. I’m heading back to our old village for a visit in Sept.
    Hi to Rupert as well.

I’m afraid I’m with Bea and Leo on headless too; it looks a bit as if the cover’s been cut in the wrong place. Or is it meant to be ironically reminiscent of France’s guillotine history? Either give the poor girl a head or maybe cut her further down? Am loving the colours though…

Helena, I find the cover nice. It looks like the woman doesn’t want to be recognised and some really don’t, especially when they are secretely in love. 🙂 looking forward to reading it! Enjoy your vacation! I just came back from Italy – Como area…beautiful.
