Going, going, gone…..

3rd March 2011 by Helena 6 Comments

Because I use this blog in part as a diary, I am going to post a speech my deputy made today and show you the glorious cake the magazine team had made for me. I just don’t want you to think I am trying to show off. But it was too lovely a gesture not to keep…obviously I cried.

Here is the cake

Here is Rick’s Speech:
Helena, you wear us out.

You are a whirlwind.

We don’t know how you do it.

You’re a wife, a mother … a tennis player, a yoga practitioner … a
beauty spy, a trier and a tester … a fashion and style icon with
your signature leopard print and pink … a writer, a ghostwriter, an
editor …

We don’t know when you sleep.

Your unflagging energy and tireless commitment to excellence inspire,
ennoble, charm, delight … and only occasionally infuriate us.

We congratulate and celebrate with you on the publication of your
latest novel — and we tell you that our relationship with you is one
of:

Love in a Warm Climate.

Here I am with the cake:

And this is what is left of it now….

Let’s hope book stocks are depleted as fast…yum.

As your blog reader I am delighted, you wanting to share that special moment with us. So happy, that you are surrounded by people, who are happy for you.

It really looks you have the great talent to inspire people. I have started yoga. Among few other people, reading you having that wonderful yoga retreat, it made me attend to a Ashtanga yoga course in January.Thank you for inspiring me!

Hope your book sells well worldwide. And yes, noting`s never enough for us, please can we hear about Sophie again? I would be gald to keep your children in ipods, in choclates or whatever it was they needed 🙂 ?

    Hi Nina
Well, bribery could work!! I will talk to my publisher, you are not the only one to be demanding more news from Sophie so I am going to think about it very seriously.
    Hx

Phew Helena, at last a glimpse of the real you – I know your children are fascinating but so are lots of others I know and I read you to keep up with your ever-moving life and times. I’ve had the impression you were filling in at times with their blogs etc
very back burner because you were busy with your other life. At least give us the low down on London and the lauch. Good luck! jose

You’re so interesting! I do not suppose I’ve read
anything like that before. So good to find someone with some genuine
thoughts on this topic. Really.. thanks for starting this up.
This web site is one thing that is needed on the internet, someone with some originality!
